No grandchildren…….well, not until Tuesday when our younger daughter, plus one grandson will be visiting for a couple of days…….but such a lot to do in the garden after a good downpour during the night. So let’s get started.

1)

The central flowerbed is filling up now. No dramatic colour but looking good. (Notice Fred’s antirrhinums behind the bird bath.)

2)

The penstemons are about to flower, then they provide colour all summer. (Notice Fred’s antirrhinums at the front.)

3)

The Peace rose has just opened out and should be good all summer. (Notice Fred’s antirrhinums at the back.)

4)

Quite a selection here. The cheap clematis at the back behind the “kinky” foxglove. The dark pink clematis climbing up the dead plum tree. The rose at the right and a giant Dock leaf at the front. It is near a plant Mr Propagator gave me a couple of years ago which has similar leaves. I pulled out a few of them (Mr Propagator’s plants) thinking they were Dock leaves last year, so I am being rather cautious this season.

5)

There are a few geums flowering now. A small but nice splash of colour in various places around the garden.

6)

An allium with the Special Child rose behind and sedums getting ready to flower in front.

That’s it for this week. Enjoy the weekend in your garden. πŸ‘©β€πŸŒΎ πŸ›πŸ¦πŸˆβ€β¬›πŸ…πŸŒΉπŸ¦‹πŸŒΊπŸŒ€
